With the 2008 vintage, we present Whistling Ridge Il Vento Pinot Noir. In Italian, Il Vento means The Wind. The intrigue of this wine is very fitting of its title. As is true of all of our wines, this vintage is made with estate grown fruit, mostly from the oldest parts of our vineyard. In the glass you will find a ruby red color; In the palette, there is a combination of black current and other dark fruit, along with an earthiness reminiscent of a stroll through the forest with flower petals being tossed around by the breeze. This wine provides structure, good tannin, and acidity for a rich, complex wine that’s drinkable now or will hold in the cellar very well.
